Genshin Impact - Dendro

Dendro is one of the seven elements in Teyvat, and being the last element to be released on for playable character. This element is quite unique and has certain reactions with the other elements where I personally consider dendro as the strongest element, provided the accompanying elements that reacts with it utilized correctly and targeted on the right enemies (for example: the damage dealt is reduced to enemies with higher dendro and electro resistance, if the team composed with dendro and electro characters).

Nahida, one of the playable dendro character

1. Mono Dendro

Generally, mono dendro by itself will not yield significant damage, and its potential aren't maximized. The case where mono dendro can do slight damage probably if you have Alhaitham and properly build him. A screenshot demonstrating mono dendro by Nahida below only gives 567 damage. In anycase, dendro by itself is not recommended due to lack of raw damage.

Nahida, what is that damage...

2. Dendro + Electro

Now we talkin. Dendro coupled with the other elements is going to give so much better results. An enemy that firstly get applied with dendro then subsequently shot with electro is going to give Quicken on the status. There are two further reactions that can occurs after Quicken:

  1. A Quickened entity will trigger Aggravate when electro attack is applied to it, dealing additional fixed amount of damage added to the base damage.

  1. A Quickened entity will trigger Spread when dendro attack is applied to it, dealing additional fixed amount of damage added to the base damage.

In practical battle scenario they are mostly happens on every attack rotation, it all just depends on what elements hits first.

3. Dendro + Hydro

Bloom combo of Dendro and Hydro will produce a 'time bomb' called dendro cores. Those green colored core explodes after countdown time of 6 seconds dealing an Area of Effect (AOE) dendro damage. The AOE explosion deals damage on your character too, so pay attention when you don't have shielder or healer on your team composition.

4. Dendro + Pyro

I'd personally like to think this reactions as set a fire (Pyro) to a dry leaves (Dendro) where Burning is the the result of it. Entity that is currently inflicted with Burning reaction will suffer Pyro Damage Over Time and Pyro status is also applied.

5. Dendro + Hydro + Pyro

From here the reaction is getting spicy. Curiousity can be dangerous, so is when you unknowingly playing around dendro cores with Pyro. Burgeon-ing reactions is to be expected if you decide to detonate the bomb fuse with Pyro attack resulting in a powerful explosion dealing AOE Dendro Damage!

Bloom? More like Boom!

6. Dendro + Hydro + Electro

The final reactions now involves the unstability property of dendro cores with pinch of zappiness from Electro, enter the Hyperbloom ! Electro elements that come into contact with dendro cores will transform the cores to Homing dendro missiles targeting the enemy, where it will deals increased AOE Dendro Damage albeit within smaller area.

Can you see the homing green missiles there?
